I agree, house them separately. Minimum for a single dragon is 36"x18" of floor space, I feel this is a bit small, but a single dragon would do fine in a 40 gallon breeder. If you can do 4'x2' of floor space, then by all means do so. I feel that 24" high goes unused unless using mercury vapor bulbs and then it's necessary for the proper distance. In my opinion 20" high is plenty.
