I received "Venomous Snakes of Asia" by Gernot Vogel today, and I must say it is an outstanding book covering all of the venomous snakes in Asia.

However, he sticks with Trimeresurus as the genus, instead of Malhotra,A. and R.S, Thorpe' reassessment of the genus Trimeresurus. Perhaps Vogel's work was "in press" while the name change was suggested.

Doesn't matter, taxonomony is always changing and the more things change, the more things stays the same.

The book is 8 1/2 X 11", has 148 pages, and gorgeous photographs.
Photo's of habitat of various species are shown as well.Maps of where species are found are also included.

This is another "must have" book for people working with of S.E. Asian pitvipers.
