Ovulation Question.....

My Banded Female just mated today but she is alot smaller than my Blizzard female was when she mated. I was wondering if some snake get bigger after they mate? Just because she mated doesn't mean she ovulating does it?

Also is it OK to put the nest box in now for my Blizzard? It's been two weeks since she mated.
