Identical twins?

Has anyone had identical twins? I know this is a hard question because they could or could not come from the same egg since the egg splits during mitosis. And it makes it even harder to tell identical twins if the pattern is caused by egg temps because identical twins could have different patterns. So I guess my question is has it happened? How can you be sure?
