Anyhoo....I put a bowl, tub, etc. up-side-down over whoever I'm gonna take pics of. Whatever you put over them should be just a hair larger around than they are, coiled....so that they are forced to stay coiled. I put a weight on top so they can't nose out underneath. Then I leave them alone for about ten minutes....less time for the really mellow ones. Then I get everything ready...lights, camera, etc. I take the bowl off and they will stay like that pretty well. I gently move them with my fingertips if their heads or a tail is hidden. If one gets nervous and starts to head for the hills, I "gently" bump them on the nose until they change their minds and turn back to face the camera. It works pretty good. Some of my Colombian babies will hold a position for a long time.
