Why Does My Ball Soak???

Does not appear that my large female ball is going into shed. Why does she sit in her water dish day after day??? Temps and humidity are always the same. She has just recently adopted this behavior. She's in perfect health, has been fasting for the past 3 months and seems all around happy. Any ideas? Responses are greatly appreciated.
