However, they don't tend to lay too many clutches, 2-3 is probably the most. Just make sure her calcium intake is a bit higher than normal so she doesn't calcium crash (ie develop MBD). To my knowledge there is no way to stop her producing infertile eggs, except by having her spayed (or is it neutered?). Cooling her so she brumates will stop her for a time but as soon as she is warmed up again, she may go right back to laying clutches. Putting her in with a male wont' stop her from laying eggs of course, but in this case the eggs will be fertile. | ||
