Thanks Bill, but honestly, I have been completely humbled, by the project. It is one of my favorites, and here is why. First, the Challenge. It really makes it worthwhile. Second, The Bloodline combination is probably one of the strongest I have. The DH's breed and get pregnant faster then any other Boas I have. They don't give many sluggs, and they are just awesome snakes. All the babies (And I have raised up a LOT) from the bloodline, are incredible, and they are just a solid snake. I'm shocked at how strong they are even though I have inbred 2 generations. So, now this year I finally had some different bloodline to work in to get that problem resolved.

Here is the update. Right now, I have my first DH Blizzard female due to drop in the next week. Then her sister in a month, and another. They are loaded, but I have a HUGE Bad luck issue with the numbers. OF 6 litters we have produced so far, we have YET to get a LIVE Blizzard. There have actually been 2 still borns. One here, and one of my customers. They are INCREDIBLE to say the least, however, I don't want to make an attempt at discribing them because anything still born or premature usually doesn't look how they should. I'm very excited to try to produce a LIVE one.

The 1 in 16 is a LOT harder then people think. I have actually produced many Snow Boas that were also Dead, so that is frustrtating, but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for this year. Weather it Be ME, or anyone else I really don't care, and the NAMING thing isn't really important to me on this matter.

It was the reason we are talking about it, so It does bring up a LOT of questions. I personally think that the BLIZZARD name should be consitent with a basic understanding of the two traits, and I think that most Boa People understand that.

There have been many other points that have been brought up, and it would be great to get some consitency, and I agree with you that it should be done in a good respectful manner.

I also think that the person who produces DH's of a Common trait should name them that, and the morph produced should be called that. Example, Blizzard, Ghost, Snow, Sunglow, etc...

Where it does get complicated is like what you mentioned with your Hoggs X Blood (which by the way are INCREDILBE ANIMALS). I can see your point with not wanting to Name them a certain name. It can get complicated in that manner, and I think a Protocol is necessary. I have my opinion, but I don't want to discuss it without others inputs. There are soo many issues. Bloodlines, GENES, and MORPHS. We tend to combine them, and that may be the problem. Heck, the LOCALS are so difficult to understand, that is its own complicated issue. IMPERATOR!!!!!!!

I'll keep you updated on the Blizzard project, and many others this year. I hope that you are having a great year, and I wish everyone else the best. I do promise to take a picture this year of a STILL BORN blizzard should that be the case. I hope that it isn't. LOL!!!
