Posted by: cmscorns at Mon Apr 10 14:19:41 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by cmscorns ] I was checking up on my pair of caramels and noticed a patch of blood that measured approximately 3 inches by 3 inches. I have not heard of this in any of the other posts and have not witnessed this in any of my other pairs. The exterior of each snake appears normal. I did witness the male biting the female gently behind her head but there are no visible breaks in her skin or dislodged scales. I did not monitor the snakes the entire time they were together. Is it possible the one or both of his hemipenis' could have torn and caused the blood or is there another possible explaination. | ||
