Mostly males or females that are at that "1000"g range that usually shut down around that time, as far as the timed shedding, it is because for the most part, they are all fed on the same schedule and they average the same weight gain at the same time as the others, smaller ones get smaller meals, larger ones get...well you get it, there are always some eating more or less, if they all ate the same way, and at the same time, every time, you would have all of them go into shed at the same time. As far as my low "off feed" percentage, I think it has to do with the normally high temps and humidity in S Florida, I know we do grow some big ball pythons down here, only problem with that is that our breeding season is much shorter.
