i am wondering what the hide situation is like for him. do you have hides available and if so how many and where are they located in the temperature gradient.
additionally does he prefer to stay in one area of the cage over another more often? i say this because 82 is your cool end. i keep my cool end at around 75 and my snakes are often at that end.
