I dont know how much you have read about it, but the reclass not only concerns the guttatus, but the obsoletus complex as well. I dont agree with it at all. Especially when you are talking about lumping the yellow, the everglades, and the grey rat snakes all into one species. And the Texas rats getting lumped into the same boat as the black rats of MO, AR, KS, OK and the other midwestern states. Just doesnt sit well with me at all.

I don't like what they are doing either.
I didn't mind the separation from the European rats but classifications like the ones you mentioned are ridiculous. ----- Corn snakes and rat snakes..No one can have just one.
