Yes, they will stress out, and the V. prasinus will most likely die as a result of it. Silly questions such as these clearly show that you are not prepared for such a difficult varanid species (perhaps the most difficult varanid to keep) as V. prasinus.
And to clear up some confusion that you still seem to have, Varanus melinus is NOT a tree monitor, it is a type of mangrove monitor, belonging to the V. indicus complex. This confusion arises from the erroneous common name given to this species, "the Yellow Tree Monitor".
