Be able to be set at a certain temperature and maintain that temperature plus or minus a few degrees and 2. be able to shut off in case of heat tape or thermostat failure – most do - it’s not rocket science - in most cases a $50 thermostat and a $250 thermostat work just as well. For incubation you will need something a bit more precise – or do you really?
