I would have been much less baffled if she would have thrown out twenty more slugs. I also wondered if this happened as a result of trying to pass a stool, but she was at 123 days after ovulation and that is plenty of time " generaly " for a good viable litter. Now, I am wondering if maybe she just emptied one of the oviducts and may shoot out some more in the next few days? Sounds like Ceilia's female did that very thing? It is still poorly understood what causes these things to happen and if you have good husbandry, you cannot blame yourself. It is just part of nature. The good news is that she is doing fine and I just gave her a couple of moderate sized rats to eat and she will probably do just fine next year. We will see what happens and I still have some good prospects for this year so you guys don't count us out as of yet. Ceilia, if you read this, after your female dropped the babies at 101, did she look pretty thin until she dropped the rest of them at 107?........Johnson Herp | ||
