i think what you are talking about is a rough green tree snake. They stay small and eat crickets for food. I hear they get stressed out easier than most snakes, so they arent good for handling but they make excellent display snakes. I have heard of people making terrariums with both frogs and rough green tree snakes since that type of snake only eats bugs.
