The rule of thumb I use is the cage length should be at least two thirds the length of the snake. The depth should be one third the snake's length. So a three foot snake can live in a 24 X 12 inch cage.



Although cage height is not as important as floor space, corns can and will climb. The snake will get additional exercise if it has branches in the cage.



Corn snakes spend large amounts of time doing nothing. Most of this time is spent in their hidebox. If you take the snake out for handling on a regular basis, it can do well in a cage even smaller than the "rule of thumb" I use.
