Hypomelanistic or "Hypo" is a snake with black pigmentation greatly diminished but not absent.
Amel is A genetic cause of albinism or amelanistic (snakes that lack black pigment in both skin and eyes).
So a hypo amel does not make sense to me at least. Removing black from a snake that has no black. Unless the term is used loosely to mean something else like lighter and brighter?
I stated this some time ago, terms need to be used with one meaning. The english lahguage is the richest in the world. It's clear we can come up with a new word instead of using the same ones for different meanings. ----- ontogeny recapitulate phylogeny
