How big is your snow? Do you have cats? If you do, keep an eye on them - they will likely find your snake first.
Try putting out a hide box with a pinky in it. Leave it along a wall or in a corner. If you can, try to make it easy to get in but hard to get out. I have read here on the forum where some folks use sticky traps to catch escapees, then free them with vegtable oil (this sounds risky to me). Also, leave a water bowl out - don't want him getting dehydrated.
Babys can get into the most amazing places. One baby was gone for a month. The cats found him - lucky I was able to rescue him before any fatal damage was done. That little guy spent some time in my wife's panty drawer - I know cause he left a present!
On the other hand, larger snakes are fairly predictable. I had a boffo big chain king who got out occasionally - each time I found him in the same closet coiled up amongst the shoes. ----- 0.1 Creamsicle Cornsake "Yolanda"
