A stupid mistake lead to my heat lamp falling on top of the cage, resulting in this a few years back. This was right after it happened, before it started to swell, crack and scab over (never got pics of that). About a half inch to an inch of skin around the black spots was also affected, but they didn't start to turn dark and scab up until a few days after this pic.

This is him form the past week. It looks like I was snapping his neck, but I wasn't actually putting presure with my fingers. You can see how the side and knee were scarred. Also, you can see there were lighter burns in the above pic that have healed, but the color isn't perfect. The skin seems to have healed almost completely in all areas, except the parts that were burned too deeply. The knee and the side were burned compeltely - all the skin was gone. the fact that some skin has regrown, AND regained its color changing ability, is amazing.

This pic shows how bad the burno n his knee was. It damaged much of the connective tissue, resulting in a slightly dislocated knee. Plus, the burns caused some nerve damage, and his rear legs aren't 100% anymore.
