The snakes pictured are not bug eyed, the bug eye thing is very dramatic, you'd know. Also to the guy who said he wouldn't get one because they were so nippy, mine is the most aggressive snake I've ever dealt with when going in, but once you have them in hand, they are fine. I have a reasonable amount of experience with ratsnakes and have found this to be true, unlike other snakes that can be very unpredictable. They seem to stand their ground until they are picked up, then are fine. May have to do with confidence though, thats the variable that is difficult to quantify. Just get in there, get them up, and walk around. Aggressive snakes always concentrate on movement, so if you're moving they will relax, or at least focus on the fact that they are moving and not on you, then they will realize they are not being eaten and calm down.
