WELCOME TO A NEW EDITION OF THE WEEK IN REVIEW

Welcome to another WEEK IN REVIEW!

I know, I know…it’s been a while since I’ve done the WIR. I received a TON of heat from friends who enjoy this and wanted me to keep the WIR going (not that I’d ever stop…I simply couldn’t let anyone down . But seriously, this year has been super busy and going by so fast. Its almost May already. Can you believe it? I only have a few weeks left of teaching and I’ll have a TON of time on my hands once summer hits. This means more frequent WIR’s.

Anyway, there are lots of extreme pics in this WIR, like Brocks Boids boas first breath photos, which you’ll have to wait a while for them to load somewhere down at the bottom of the page.

TRIBUTE:

Condolences go to Terry for the loss of his 3 year old Snow boa, named Pearl. I’m sure she’ll be missed.

Congrats go to Ajax on the birth of his (human) daughter!

AND Congrats Al Brown/Brown's Boas on the birth of his 2nd child

(on a personal note, my daughter turned 1 recently…amazing how my life has changed in a year)

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

Just curious: if something were to happen to you,

1) can people in your immediate family care for your reptile collection and keep your projects going?

2) if not, do you have plans in place for your animals?

If not, I will gladly accept donations including but not limited to: Sunglows, Arabs, Motleys, T Positives, hypos, etc (j/k)

(Offer excludes geriatric bearded dragons…you know who you are!)

GBR Press: Boa trapped in Van (down by the river) by W von Papineäu

Anyone ever wonder who W von Papineäu is and how he/she manages to find all the reptile related articles around the globe. Also, how cool would it be to have those two little dots or other unusual characters in your name? Any Dane Cook or Russell Peters fans? Optimus Prime…go clean your room….or how cool would it be to have a click in your name. Its late, I digress…

Why so many female albino-related boa death’s this year? By ghackney

(thought to ponder…it may be that you’re now hearing about them, whereas the number of deaths reported in the past may have simply been less frequent????)

(a tribute to the corn snake forum: HELP! My boa laid eggs! What temps do I need for incubation?)

- Morgans Boas (thanks for the pics and the laughs)

What I find interesting is how your boa has the same expression my dog makes when we put reindeer antlers on his head at xmas. Anyway, I enjoyed…but no pics of boas eating bunnies for easter?lol
