but from what i read it wont hurt the hobby as much as anaconda. the plot for this one has the mob putting snakes on a plane. i think there should be a law that makes it so any movie that portrays an animal doing something it really doesnt do, they should explain in the credits what was fake, i can think of dozens of movies that snake are shown as "bad" or the creators just give alittle misinformation.
i remember in a movie with a certain "really mad goalie" a group of campers find a snake in thier cabin so the hack it up.
and in a certain comedy about a group of colledge kids taking a cross country trip to save a relationship, one of the kids has a snake in his dormroom (a young burmese i think) in a cage with no hides with uv lights for heat, and it is plenty big enough for rats but gets one mouse a month and they say that if he over eats he will die. and later in the movie he refuses the mouse and takes a bite out of a hand.
