I have a trio of dums and I am hoping to begin breeding them this season. I have some notes that I've picked up from the archives, books, and websites. For those that are experienced with dum breeding...please correct me or add comments to help me along!

Late September early October begin to cool down snakes to about 72 deg ambient. Turn heat tape off at night, but leave a basking spot (how hot?) during the day. Light may be decreased to 8-9 hours. Continue this cooling for 5-10 weeks. During this time introduce male into female's enclosure. Misting may stimulate copulation. Do not feed the snakes during cooling. ***How many times should a male be introduced into the female's enclosure to copulate?*** Temperatures should gradually warm to normal and the pairs should be separated. 30-60 days after cops. an abdominal lump may be visable. Females will eat during the 7-10 month gestation, but should eat smaller meals. Often the female will become more active an uncomfortable prior to birth, but will usually shed 20-38 days beforehand. Babies will shed shortly after birth and may be offered a meal.

How does my plan look to you guys? I've only had experience breeding ball pythons (my first clutch is incubating)...so I would love you guys to add in comments!
Thanks!
