sulcata enclosure...just wanted to share

My sulcata, Tank, is 3 years old and increasingly active. He was outgrowing his large "storage tub" home so this is his new pad! Made it out of 8 three foot long pieces of "1x8" boards placed together with door hinges. This way i can take the whole pin down quick and easy and make it any size or shape i need (great for taking it outdoors to get some sun!). I used four 3 foot squares of indoor/outdoor carpeting, so if he makes a mess I can just wash it off and let it dry outside. He has a 14 gal. humid hide in one corner that you can't see... and figured putting the UV bar over his food was the best place because he loves to be in the food dish. This project was really inexpensive (about $60 for a 36 square foot enclosure). Luckly i have a reptile room to put it in, so the overall temp of the area is about 80-82. So far, he loves the large area to roam!
