Posted by: serpentdude at Wed Jul 30 15:24:47 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by serpentdude ] I've had Hog Island boas now for about 4 years and despite the other varieties of boas I have (or had over the years) they remain one of my favorite Ssp. Sizes are as have been previously stated, and as shown can get a little bigger in captivity than 'normal' due to the regular, copious diet we boa-keepers tend to give them. Despite reports of them being nippy I've never found that with mine, which have been as docile as any other BCI's. They typically have a very eager feeding response and the few times I've ever had a problem getting "tagged" was when it was dinner time and I got 'in the way'!!!
