Actually, the oldest pied I have is a '97 male from pete. And he is much, much lighter than any of my other adult pieds. Now he is not bright orange like a baby pied. But when side by side with younger adults the '97 male looks almost like a pastel pied with the other pieds. But just like pastels, it is hard to capture the color in a photo,,,you see it more in person. He is not a pastel pied by the way, he has never given me any pastels. And I have not had him since '97, so I dont know if he is just a light pied, or if he is lightening up because of age???
