I thought I would post this here since this is the husbandry side of the house also. Has any one ever thought of using spray in truck bed liner to coat the inside of thier tanks with. I was wondering as I was getting ready to build some more tanks and thought about using this to save on materials. Particle board is cheaper and if it was coated then there is no chance of splinters. Also the water proofing effect would increase humidity as well as make cleaning easy. There would be no chance of rot or moisture leakage since the spray on would cover everything but glass and ventilation screen. I would let them dry compleatly and air out of course. Wal Mart sells a kit as does lowes that for around 25 bucks I could coat approx. 3 6'x2'x2' tanks. It is also very heat resistant so heat lights and pads would not be a problem. Any thoughts I might not have considered would be great. Thanks
