Posted by: duffy at Tue Apr 25 17:24:07 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by duffy ] My Baird's ratsnake escaped on 9/3/05...Out of my snake room & into the basement. Nearly 8 months later (and on my youngest son's 10th birthday) I just found him again. He's grown, too! He must have spent some time brumating during the Ohio winter, but he looks like he must have located a few mouse nests along the way. He's actually fat & sassy. Sure hope he hasn't developed a taste for those wild mice...I've heard it can happen. Oh well, I'm super pleased. So all you who have lost a snake or two along the way...DON'T GIVE UP!!!
