My theory (abbreviated) is this;

It is known that high temperatures kill sperm, and that temperature fluctuations in gestation alters pattern. Also, in Leopard Geckos incubation temperatures affects color.

SO:

The sperm was left over from the Jungle sire last year. The "Y" chromosome sperm was weaker, and the normal temperatures during the summer killed them. The "X" chromosome sperm survived. This resulted in the high number of slugs, and all the live babies being female.

The Color and pattern would then be the result of the sperm surviveing through a year where the female was kept at normal temperatures and the sperm had to endure different conditions. The temperature fluctuations affected the color and pattern of the offspring.



I made the post on Easter, so you may have missed it, and I didn't want to call.



Anyway, I would love to hear how the paternity test is going, and your input to this theory.
