She doesn't really need a companion but they do get along in groups if you feel the viv is just too empty. Yeah, they do sort of shed funny, but they usually don't have problems with the shed either so it isn't too bad.
I feed nightcrawlers from a large dog food bowl, the plain plastic cheapos they sell in most pet departments even at discount stores. Mine is about 8" diameter and probably 3" deep. I put the number of worms I think they will eat in with a thin layer of the soil they come in and they don't usually climb out. For my girls, who most all share one large viv, I dump 1 doz worms soil and all and add another dozen. My girls run to the bowl while I'm still stocking it and pig out. If they don't eat them all at first the soil keeps them alive for up to 24 hours more so they they don't go to waste. For my animals that are kept individually or in pairs/trios I use a smaller dish, 6" diameter but still about 3" deep, and fewer worms. I usually figure 2 per animal but some I know will eat less so I use the individuals habits as a guide.
