ACTUALLY
the reason I mostly burried it, was so she would not be able to tip it over, and to keep the contents cool (and to make it not QUITE so unsightly)
the lip of the container is almost 1 cm above the dirt/plant height at the edge
but most of it is burried, to support the sides, and keep the critters inside cool
I also have the piece of Grape Vine branch at the edge where the light would come from, so that they are not getting to much light (that will scare them into escaping no matter how hard it is)
Right now I M trying to figure a way to support the Mist machine ABOVE the tank floor
right now I M thinking of how to cut a quart soup container so the mist will only fall INTO the tank, and not splash out from the jet of watermaybe if I cut a /_ shape in the side, a little more than half way up, and tilt it in to deflect the water back DOWN, then the mist can escape through the gap in the side, but the water will drip back in (dang I am good at spacial relationships, and simple physics) ----- Elizabeth (ecb)
'Goodness gracious'
my grandma used to say
'the worlds a scarey place now
things were different in my day'
what horrors will be commonplace,
when my hair starts to grey?
