I do like hybrids with the idea of creating something totally new looking. Much like making corn morphs.
But at some point I feel we will have so many snakes that will be so questionable. Although a lot of people keep their snakes, and keep records, I work in an old shop (40 years of doing herps), and we get stuff dropped off, or sold cheap all the times.
I do not like to carry large pythons, long story , although I really like them. I got a call one day to take a burmese only 3' long. YEA RIGHT. Like 4' baby iguanas. He caught me on a good day, plus he said he had other snakes.
Long story short as I looked in hi car I asked where the burm? Right there in the 50 breeder! I told him it was a ball python. He did not believe me because where he bought it, it was sold as a burmese.
If a ball and burm can get confused, and this is not an isolated story, the hybrids are going to be near impossible at some time.
But I do like some of the snakes produced. Maybe I should be a politician?
