No offence, but please let me know where you can sell normal babies for $50 each. Last I checked, they are worth $8-$12 each, and if a trust worthy person has sexed them, males worth $8 females worth $20. Do your ball pythons have something that the imports dont have??? Dont even try to say they eat better, any breeder (with experiance) will tell you import babies eat just as well as any CB ones do. I couldnt hardly give normals away last year. Plus you have to figure in the fact that the female will have to be WELL fed for 2-3 years before she will give 3-5 eggs. All costs considdered, you would be lucky to break even in 7 years with normals.... and just about the same way with pastels.
