I'm not an expert, but have had Kings and corns for the same amount of time, and adore both species. Nervousness can be a characterisitc of a species, but also it depends on the individual. Many kingsnake owners will tell you how their snakes secrete themselves in a hiding spot, but my cal king is more active and visible than my corns. However, I'd have to say that a corn snake is typically the better beginner snake. Hope this helps a bit. ----- 1.0 African Fat Tailed Geckos (Jambo)
