Lot of questions I will try to remeber all of them. He will get bigger around when he does.... He will grow at his own rate and he will thicken up with time. Most of mine tend to grow long and then grow out. After a growth spurt in length they tend to thicken up accordingly. At 3' I recomend 1 hopper twice a week. I feed mine 1 small hopper on Monday and 1 small hopper on Friday. Your vets schedule seems a little too often for me. I would move up to a 20 long which should last the rest of his life. A 30 gallon definately would. I use reptile carpet also. I used to use reptibark but it was too dusty. I'll include a pic of Hope when she was a baby and a pic froma few months ago. Her 1 year birthday (day I bought her) was about a week ago (4-20). Good luck with your snake!
