Bill (husband)and I actually discussed the possiblity of setting up a mini photo studio at some of the shows to take photos for people, since he is a photographer. We decided against it because only the vendors are supposed to bring herps, not the public.
It is amazing to see some of the great photos that non-photgraphers take(I mean those who photo for fun, and not for their living) and then some of the horrible, blurry photos of corns or native herps that people email to try to ID for them. But at least if you expect to sell something, especially if it is expensive, seems like it would be worthwhile to take the time, or to spend the money, for decent photos.
Now that most use digital, you can "waste" as many shots as you have to in order to get the photo you want. Some things have really changed, but some things never do!
