RE: Sand

I would lose the sand and go with slate tile! Looks better and no need to worry about impaction. Maybe set up a lil sand box on one end for them to play in or whatever. Right now i use shelf liner for my new baby but soon he will be getting the slate! We also use slate for our leos and they seem to love it!
