while I agree but not agree on IBD in other species, there is a pseudo look-a-like disease that mimics IBD in colubrids and hit my venomous collection several times of past years. In the 80ties and early 90ties, what ever this pseudo disease was. it ran rapidly and random among species of some south western kings and especially the gray-banded kings. The virus or whatever was spread the same as as IBD, the actions of the diseased animal took on the same as IBD, etc. I have heard of the disease by name but have forgot. Some of the same actions was: star gazing, twisted or turning weird body events, etc. I come to my conclusions as the same of IBD or pseudo IBD by having several Boas directly diagnosed with IBD in the early 90ties.
