the answer to this is kinda a vague one in my opinion. Corn snake growth has a few factors. First, is the corn snake's genetics. Some corns grow faster than others even if on the same feeding regiment. Another factor is the feeding regiment. Some people power feed their snakes. This causes the snake to grow much faster. There is also a big difference in 6 months of snake growth. Say the big one that you got was an early 05 hatchling, and the smaller one was a real late 05 hatchling. It could matter a lot. I have 05 hatchlings that about 19 inches and then I have bought left over 05 hatchlings that were problems feeders and they are like 12 inches. It is entirely possible that 6 months made that big of a difference.
