>> Ultramel Motley Het Caramel X Striped Butter
>The Caramel would have to be ether a butter or golddust, and the normal het amel and caramel would have to be an amel het caramel.
You are right (and my first answer was wrong) on the caramel. The correct cross was caramel x heterozygous caramel, and I did caramel x caramel. But there has to be an ultramel het caramel in addition to the amel het caramel.
Ultramel x amelanistic -->
1/2 ultramel
1/2 amelanistic
Motley and striped are alleles, like ultra and amelanistic. Motley x striped -->
1/1 heterozygous motley//striped (which could look like a motley or could be a motley that shows some influence from the striped mutant gene).
caramel x heterozygous caramel -->
1/2 caramel
1/2 heterozygous caramel
Correct result:
1/4 ultramel caramel (AKA golddust) motley (with variable effect on the motley pattern)
1/4 ultramel motley (with variable effect on the motley pattern) heterozygous caramel
1/4 amelanistic caramel (AKA butter) motley (with variable effect on the motley pattern)
1/4 amelanistic motley (with variable effect on the motley pattern) heterozygous caramel
