Is the substrate moist enough? If not the eggs will collapse from lack of moisture and adding a little moisture will plump them back up.



If they are bad and collapse they will also turn nasty colors and get slimy! : (



I have actually had some go for almost the full term and be infertile, not sign of ever having had an embryo. Others will turn in just a few days or within a week of having been laid.



I can't speak for Bonnie, but I know she used my suggestions and I use about 50% humidity in the box. When I prepare the substrate for the eggs I mix 50/50 water and substrate by weight not by volume.
