apparently, i had described the problem our uro was having incorrectly. this is what my gf sent me in regards to our uro. Any help would be greatly appreciated



"I have a 1.5 year old (i think) Saharan uro. I have had her (not sure of sex) for almost 4 months now. She is in a spacious cage with a sand substrate. Recently I noticed that some of the scales on and around her mouth have become discolored. They appear to be whitish, like the color was missing or rubbed off. She frequently gets salt deposits on her nose, which easily rub off. (How common is that? should i be seeing it frequently?) But I am worried about the discolored scales. Is this abnormal? She has not really shed yet since I got her, she has a little on her face, but nothing much. Can uros get fungal infections from high humidity? I read in a book that its ok for humidity to reach 60-70 at night, as long as its hot and dry during the day. Is this true? How can I reduce humidity in her habitat? I would appreciate any and all input!!! Thanks!!!"
