this is more centered around my king snake, but it could apply to corns. i prefer to ask in this forum as I like it better. My king did not go through a post lay shed. She is huge with her second clutch, and I don't think she is gonna shed until the pre-lay. Is this normal. Do second clutches form faster than first? She seemed to get big faster this time than last.

My one corn that I think is gonna second clutch is doing good. She is not as big as last time. I assume that is because second clutches are usually smaller. I am hoping she gives me more fertile ones than the first clutch.

Also, one of my females is too small in my opinion to second clutch. I know that they can store sperm. Is there any way to prevent them from having a second clutch? Sounds dumb, but I was just wondering. Will she have a clutch if she is too skinny, or will she know her body is not up for it?
