The odds of that snake being genetic are slim. Here are the reasons why:

1. It looks premature... smaller than normal and its head has that premature "look" to it. Premature babies tend to be "different" in color and pattern.
2. The egg it was in didnt look too healthy. I have seen very weird babies hatch out of moldy dying eggs. Might have had a dead twin in there that never got going...
3. It came from a gravid import. The stress the females go thru during shipping does have a negative effect on the eggs. Changes in temps also can do weird things to the developing babies. Remember than once a snake lays the babies are already developing inside. Thats why there are veins ect in the eggs.

That baby looks amazing and I hope I am wrong and it is genetic. But just like jungles and most ringers I feel like you have a non genetic oddity.
