I have switched from heating an entire room to using belly heat. The belly heat is by far the best.
You save energy by using belly heat. I fell you get better digestion as well with belly. Not only will you provide a good hot spot but the tubs spread the heat out better. I have noticed that the tubs are warm over half the bottom of the tub where the heat has disapated(spl) creating a good gradient.

>>I have it on one of my racks and it's really not very good - although, better than nothing. I will never go back heat again. It has to work harder and you lose too much energy. All the females in the racks for back heat were late laying eggs - I think due to adequate heat. I also find animals in this rack trying to lay on the back side of the cage (along the wall).
