A few weeks ago while i was feeding my kingsnake she was bit in the eye by the mouse i was feeding her. yes i was feeding live which i do from time to time but now will stop doing becasue shes too old to keep up with mice like she used to. The mouse apparently tore the protective scale over the eye because it was just the forward part of the eye that was damaged, the rest looked fine. There was a bit of blood on the damaged part but the bleeding stopped quite soon and was barely more than 3-5 drops. She didn't seem to be in any pain and i decided to wait and see what would happen instead of paying the $150 check up fee for the vet to take a look.

the past few days the scale over the eye has looked big and swollen and puffy. it stuck out about twice as far as the other eye thats normal and look whiter than usual(might be because she is getting ready to shed). today i woke up to find my snake soaking in her water dish which is normal since shes shedding. The big swollen eye is gone and has been replaced by one that looks sunken and deflated. It's like her eye was cut and all the fluid within the eye has drained out(think reverse glaucoma. It doesn't have any outward curve to it anymore, its just flat. She doesn't appear to be able to see out of it anymore which is wierd because it looked like she could move it slightly when it first happened.

Has anyone had anything similar happen to their snake?
Can anyone give me a prediction on whether her eye will ever be normal again?

Here's some pics, first is the bad eye, then both eyes to show you how much the cut one has deflated:
