Posted by: bfoos at Sat Jun 3 00:34:32 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by bfoos ] All I know about them is that I occasionaly find them while flipping in upstate NY and they used to be called Dekays Snake. They range in size from 9 to 13 inches and will do just fine on worms and slugs. Also depending on your locale, what you have is either a northern or midland brown snake. If you had an Eastern Brown you would have an extremely venomous Australian snake. I've found it best to keep the small woodland species of snakes for about a week or so to observe them, then release them where I found them. In fact I catch and release all native species of snake I come accross with the exception being if I find a eastern milk, black rat or eastern hognose. Even then I'll only keep them if I find a juvenile. I let all adults go. | ||
