MY disclaimer "I am not an expert", but from my understanding, people have problems with mold when they use only moss. I remember one person saying it worked for them, though. I think it has to be monitored much more closely. If the store is out of vermiculite, try perlite. I have some eggs in it snd my second clutch is in a mixture of the two, since I ran out of perlite. You also have the option of putting a layer of moss over the eggs, to help keep moisture in, but abain, that has to be closely watched.
