The height of a boa cage doesn't matter, it's the floor space that does. A cage that is "8ft tall 4ft wide and 2 ft deep" is not a large cage for a boa. That cage can house one boa that is 6 feet or less. Certainly it couldn't house a retic, and certainly couldn't house a "few boas", or even two boas. If you have never run out of cages see that you don't now. There is a pic around this forum of a boa that ate another boa it was housed with, not at feeding time either.

"lol. The 2 I'm planning on putting together aren't from the rescue, they are some of a few I got before I started the rescue. We are far from overstocked right now. I am just anticipaing a lot here in the next month or so. They are both healthy as can be. I had a cage in my living room that was for a burmese, but we are about to get another burm and we've moved them to the garage (with heat and ac). the cage is 8ft tall 4ft wide and 2 ft deep. Its pleanty big for a few RT's. I would like to breed the red tails, they're absolutly beautiful. Most of the snakes we get are unwanted pets. the most regular call we get is "hey my kid wont take care of this come get it" or "my kid went to college, come get it". They're usually healthy. I rarely get anything with serious health issues. Usually they have mites but thats not a biggie. We have a quarentine (sp*) room. We have around 25 cages, and we're still building more in the garage for larger things. but like i said, i have a feeling that we're going to have a big boom here in about a month. I don't think i'll run out of cages (never have before) I'd just like to put a few in that huge cage in my livingroom. I'm trying to keep the bigger snakes in the garage and smaller things in the house, especially since my son is mobile now. I just wasn't sure if the smaller snake was big enough to go in with the larger one. ----- The rescue site: www.freewebs.com/okreptilerescue"
